What you’ll need

Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 4 frozen paratha sheets
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp chopped nuts (peanuts or walnuts)
  • 80g Perfect Italiano Mozzarella
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

Step by step

Method

  1. 1

Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, chopped nuts and Perfect Italiano Mozzarella in a bowl to make the filling.

  2. 2

Let the frozen paratha soften slightly, then gather each sheet into a ball and flatten into a disc.

  3. 3

Place two spoonfuls of filling in the centre, pleat the edges together and seal tightly so nothing leaks.

  4. 4

Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat and place the stuffed dough seam-side down.

  5. 5

Press flat with a spatula, cook until golden, then flip and cook the other side until crispy and the sugar caramelises inside.

  6. 6

Serve hot, torn open to show the molten sugar and cheese stretch.
